BISMARCK — The University of Mary has announced the selection of its 2015 Homecoming King and Queen and their court.

Coronation 2015 smallHomecoming King is Peter Foley, a junior and native of West St. Paul, Minn. He is majoring in Mathematics Education and is the son of Patrick Foley and Sandra Foley. His activities at the university include serving as a Student Ambassador, in the Knights of Virtue and a member of the Emerging Leaders Academy.

Homecoming Queen is Brittney Dietz, — a native of Beach and the daughter of Angie Dietz. A senior, Dietz is majoring in both Health Care Administration and Business Administration. She is a four-year member of the university’s women’s basketball team. Her honors included being named All-Conference, All Freshman, a 1,000-point scorer, and being the leading scorer for the team, and an appearance in NCAA basketball tournament.

Other student nominees for King and Queen included:

Michael WebMichael Berger — Berger is from Bismarck, the son of John Berger and Robynn Berger. He is majoring in Athletic Training and Pre-physical Therapy. He is a member of UMATSA and Knights of Virtue. Berger is involved in intramurals, the Physical Therapy Club, and FOCUS Bible study. He has been a continuous member of the Dean’s List and the Honor Roll.

John WebJohn Dinkel — Dinkel is a native of Long Prairie, Minn., and is the son of Charlie Dinkel and Linda Dinkel. A senior majoring in Exercise Science, Dinkel received the Outstanding Student in Chemistry Award for the 2013-14 school year. He is involved in the Physical Therapy Club, FOCUS and is a residence assistant for the university’s Residence Life program.

Matthew WebMatthew Gallegos — Gallegos is a junior and a native of Canby, Minn. He is majoring in Athletic Training and is the son of Daniel Gallegos and Melanie Gallegos. He was named Outstanding Board Member (MAC, 2015), and Most Valuable Rec Member (Student Rec, 2015). Gallegos is involved in the Student Rec crew, is the external chair of the Marauders Activity Committee, is co-vice president of UMATSA, and a member of the PT Club.

Isaac WebIsaac Lindquist — A junior majoring in Business Administration and Psychology, Lindquist is a native of Milbank, S.D., the son of Lane and Lyla Lindquist. He was named Rising Star in Psychology in 2015 and to the NSIC All-Academic Team in 2015. Isaac has been involved in Student Government as a senator, and is a three-year member of the men’s basketball team.               

Brianna WebBrianna Connelly — Connelly, a junior from Fergus Falls, Minn., is a Business Communication major. She is the daughter of Patrick and Jean Connelly. She has been on the University of Mary Honor Roll from 2013-15 and is the recipient of the Support Staff Scholarship for 2015. Connelly’s activities and memberships include Vera Forma, DECA co-vice president, University Ministry, intramural volleyball, Hebrew lessons, as a Peer Leader and on the Summit student newspaper.

Holly WebHolly Krumm — A native of Hague, Krumm, a junior, is the daughter of Francis and Kelly Krumm. A double major in English Education and Theology, Krumm has been involved in Residence Life as a residence assistant, Collegians for Life as vice president, Campus Ministry, Vera Forma, FOCUS, Writing Center, and the UMary Social Dance Club. She was named Rookie RA of the Year for 2014-15.

Catherine WebCatherine Mahrer — A junior from Mandan, Mahrer is the daughter of Gerard Mahrer and Joanne Mahrer. Mathematics major, Mahrer has been a three-year member of Student Ambassadors, Vera Forma and the Emerging Leaders Academy.

Courtenay WebCourtney Sibla — Sibla is a junior majoring in Occupational Therapy. She is the daughter of Brad Sibla and Janeene Sibla. Sibla has been involved in Student Government for three years, serving as a senator and currently vice president, and SOTA. She has been on the Dean’s List from 2013 to the present.
